Dinner with the Hon Dr. Craig Emerson, Australian Minister of Trade - Malaysia Australia Joint Trade Committee meeting

The Australian Minister of Trade, the Hon Dr. Craig Emerson, will be visiting Malaysia between 30/01/12 and 31/01/12. He and his team will be here to attend the Joint Trade Committee Meeting (JTC) with Dato Sri Mustapa Mohamed and the team from MITI. Apart from progressing negotiations on the Malaysia Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) targeted for signature; in March 2012, the ministers are likely to discuss other areas of opportunity for trade and investment between the two countries and any impediments that may be impacting these opportunities.

The Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) along with Australia Malaysia Business Council (AMBC) will be arranging a Dinner at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 30/01/12 at 7pm at which Dr. Craig Emerson will network with members and guests and give a speech during the dinner. Dr. Craig Emerson is likely to cover topics such as, Trade Liberalisation, MAFTA, the JTC, the Australian economy and minister's views on the Davos World Economic Forum which the minister will have just attended.
