INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE EMPOWERMENT IN ONE SIMPLE SESSION
New players in a market often find it difficult meeting the right people or spend much time acquiring the industry knowledge they need to make vital investment decisions. Attending conferences can be time consuming and don’t provide enough local flavour to truly understand the business dynamics involved. MABC TARGET aims to provide an accelerated means of getting the information an investor needs by bringing the investor straight to the people that matter. This is done through bespoke dialogue sessions curated by MABC that facilitates engagement between investors and entrepreneurs (“Entrepreneurs”) with their Malaysian industry peers, in candid topic-specific discussions. The sessions are aimed at developing a quick understanding of the Malaysian business environment and polity that is meaningful. In brief, MABC TARGET provides a means by which Entrepreneurs can gain local industry insights through direct local peer engagement that doesn’t just revolve around official data or statistics.
How it Works?
At the Entrepreneur’s request, MABC arranges meetings with persons of interest (“Participants”) that have been selected in line with the Entrepreneur’s expression of interest. Invited Participants attend on a voluntary basis to share their industry expertise but may also regard these sessions as an opportunity to cultivate a business relationship with a foreign Entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur agrees that the briefings and the Participants are arranged on a best endeavour basis working within time constraints and the availability of Participants. Views and opinions of the Participants are their own and do not represent an official position of MABC. All views are deemed confidential and given on the basis that the recipient of the information agrees that no legal duty of care arises from the information they provide, whether made negligently or otherwise. The Entrepreneur is obliged to verify all information received independently and must exercise its own independent judgment when making any commercial, financial or investment decision. MABC will not be liable for any costs incurred if Participants withdraw or the briefing is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Terms & Conditions:
- The representations above form part of the agreement with the Entrepreneur.
- The Entrepreneur will bear the cost of the venue (normally at a hotel business centre) and any refreshments served. There will be no venue costs if the meeting is hosted or sponsored by a Participant or held at MABC’s office.
- MABC will identify and invite Participants, organize the meeting venue and notify Entrepreneur of the costs involved.
- The Entrepreneur will pay MABC an administration fee of RM4,000 (MABC/AMBC members) or RM6,000 (Non-members). If MABC is unable to organize the briefing no charges will apply.
Entrepreneur’s Agreement
By submitting this application I/We confirm that I/We have read the above Terms and Conditions for participating in MABC TARGET and agree to be bound by them. I/We hereby request MABC to proceed to organize a MABC TARGET dialogue session for me.
